Adelaide Crows vs West Coast Eagles Preview

The Crows are on the rebound after going down to Collingwood by 10 points last weekend but have won four of five in 2025 at the Adelaide Oval. I'm expecting a wide margin win for Adelaide.

Taylor Walker has kicked 21 goals in his past three matches against the Eagles
Adelaide rank 3rd for scoring in 2025, West Coast have conceded more scores than any other side.

Head to Head

Adelaide have won the past five matches between the two sides by an average margin of 63 points. They were 99-point winners the last time they met, which was at the Adelaide Oval in Round 11 last season.

Adelaide Crows Form

Adelaide return to their home deck of the Adelaide Oval and are five from six at the venue in 2025. Those wins have been by an average margin of over 30 points.

The most recent of those was a five-point thriller over cross-town rivals, Port Adelaide, while they smashed interstate opposition, Carlton, prior to that by 60.

High scoring has been a feature of the Crows wins this season and they rank 3rd for points scored. Darcy Fogarty has kicked 25 goals from nine matches, while Riley Thilthorpe (23 from 10) and Taylor Walker (18 from 10) have finished off in front of goal.

Rory Laird, Jordan Dawson and Izak Rankine found plenty of the footy last weekend against Collingwood and are averaging a tick under 25 disposals in 2025.

West Coast Eagles Form

West Coast lost nine straight to start the season with those losses coming at an average margin of 42 points. Four were above the 39.5 point range.

Their win over St Kilda was highlighted by some efficient ball use. They lost the disposals count with Ryan Maric, Brady Hough and Liam Duggan the only players to register more than 20 disposals. Maric and Liam Baker are averaging 22 disposals this season.

Oscar Allen, Jake Waterman and Liam Ryan were among the multiple goalkickers. Waterman has kicked 14 from seven matches this season.

The Eagles have ventured to the Adelaide Oval once already this season for a 71-point loss to Carlton in Gather Round. The Crows home ground has not been a happy hunting ground in recent times with West Coast’s losing their last eight by an average margin of 62 points.
