While the Carlton Blues are the underdogs, they are not here to simply make up the numbers, with the side looking to secure another big win after dumping the Demons out last week. Can they repeat the trick in Brisbane.

The Lions secured an impressive 100-74 win over the Blues when they met back in June, with this their fifth win in a row over their opponents.

The Lions have dominated the Blues in recent years, winning eight of their last 10, with the Blues winning the other two.

The Brisbane Lions were brilliant across the home and away season as they managed to finish second on the ladder, a win short of eventual minor premiers Collingwood.

Despite the disappointment of coming so close in the home and away season, the Lions did not let this stop them from notching a crushing 123-75 win over the Port Adelaide Power which gave them direct entry into the Preliminary Finals.

Their win over the Demons was particularly impressive as they downed the side that finished in fourth on the ladder after winning 16 of their 23 matches.
