Head to Head

Geelong have had the wood over Brisbane with 11 wins in the last 12 clashes between the sides. They have now won 21 of the last 24.

It was a controversial 81-80 victory for the Cats in Round 2, but it made it three straight wins for Geelong.

The Cats won 73-46 in the home and away season in 2020. They then dumped the Lions out of the finals with an 82-42 preliminary final success at the Gabba.

Brisbane Lions Form

Brisbane weren't at their best last week, but still brought up an eighth win in the last nine matches with victory over bottom side North Melbourne.

The Lions were in a game for much of the contest at Blundstone Arena before eventually clearing away for a 68-45 victory over the Roos.

It was a welcome return to winning ways for Chris Fagan's side, who lost their top of the ladder clash with Melbourne Demons before the bye.

Brisbane led by 20 points at half time against the Dees, only for Melbourne to run away with it in the last quarter.

Zorko replaces Rhys Mathieson, who drops to the emergencies.
