Head to Head

Brisbane and Richmond have met in six regular season games and three finals games since the beginning of the 2019 season.

The Tigers hold a 5-4 lead in the head to head across all games but it is the Lions with the most recent success having won four of the last six games including finals matchups in 2022 and 2020.

The lone game played last season was also a win to Brisbane with a 134-53 scoreline.

Brisbane Lions Form

The Lions were part of the second draw this season playing out a 90-all stalemate with Adelaide last weekend at the Adelaide Oval.

It was a game though that Brisbane let slip from their grasp with the Crows booting 4 Goals to 1 in the 4th quarter to snatch the draw.

Brisbane had a better Efficiency Rate Inside 50 compared to their season average and also dominated Possession in the match but could not convert their dominance into points on the scoreboard.

Richmond Tigers Form

It is just a bad year for Richmond, they have one win on the season - given it was against the league leading Swans but the rest of the games have been tough.

Six of their eight losses have been by between 30 and 91 points with the playing group essentially giving up in games late that they are no chance of winning.

Their last outing against the Bulldogs saw the Tigers have only 3 Marks Inside 50 and only 4 Contested Marks for the entire game.

The Tigers injury list is long. Mo Rioli is looking at 8-10 weeks following a bad ankle injury sustained in the loss to the Bulldogs last weekend.

A host of players will become available over the next few weeks including Sam Banks, Seth Campbell, Jack Graham, Jacob Hopper and James Trezise.

Richmond are hopeful Dylan Grimes and Liam Baker will pass fitness tests and play this weekend.
