Head-to-Head
Collingwood have won the last four clashes with Carlton (five including the pre-season Community Series in 2019), and eight of the last 10 meetings.
The Pies won the only meeting last season when defeating the Blues 72-48 in Round 14. Collingwood trailed 44-36 at half-time, but limited Carlton to just four points in the second half.
Carlton Form
Carlton were better than the 25-point defeat suffered at the hands of premiers Richmond Tigers last Thursday in the season-opener.
The Blues, led by the impressive Sam Walsh who collected 31 disposals, trailed by just eight points at three quarter time having pushed the Tigers all the way.
But they were unable to see the job through as they lost 105-80.
Carlton were well beaten by St Kilda as they went down 125-99, but will be buoyed by their performance against Richmond.
The Blues missed out a first finals appearance since 2013 when they finished 10th after a disappointing end to the 2020 season.
