Carlton vs Fremantle Dockers Predictions
Carlton and Fremantle will go head to head on Easter Sunday with the Blues well favoured to be claiming their first win of the 2021 season at Marvel Stadium.
They have been competitive with both Richmond and Collingwood in their opening two rounds, not falling too far short of the prize either time. They now face Fremantle who they have beaten in the last two meetings.
- Carlton have won their last 2 matches against Fremantle Dockers.
- Fremantle Dockers captain Nat Fyfe will miss the game due to concussion.
Head to Head
Fremantle hold a recent record of 6-4 from the last 10 meetings, but Carlton have won the last two clashes.
Both were by four points and both times at Optus Stadium.
Having played the reigning premiers and a top eight side in the competition in their first two weeks of footy, the Blues stood tall and can be proud of the way they played.
Their 25-point loss to premiers Richmond Tigers was an honourable Round 1 effort.
The Round 2 game against Collingwood was within their grasp, but some key opportunities were missed throughout the match as they went down by 21 points last week.
Carlton Team News
Two big losses for the Blues this week were Zac Fisher and Jack Martin, with both expected to miss up to six or seven weeks.
Eddie Betts is named for his first appearance of the season after picking up a calf problem in pre-season.
Jack Silvagni has passed a fitness test this week and makes his way back into the Carlton side. There is also a debut for mature age rooker Luke Parks.
Oscar McDonald and Tom Williamson have been omitted.

Fremantle Dockers Form
The opening quarter against the Demons in round one cost the Dockers that match, with Melbourne going four goals in front by the end of the first quarter. That was pretty much what the margin was at full-time as the Dees won 80-58.
Fremantle need to start of their games quicker and get on the front foot, which is exactly what they did last week against the GWS Giants at Optus Stadium last week.
They held a 19-point lead into quarter time and extended that by half-time. It was a comfortable 87-56 victory in the end.
They can play some very exciting footy when they're alive in the hunt for a win, so against a hostile Blues crowd, they need to get on the board early to silence supporters.

Nat Fyfe is the big loss for the Dockers as concussion rules him out
But Michael Walters returns to the side this week, giving them something for the loss of the captain.
Liam Henry is passed fit and named among the emergencies, while Rory Lobb may make an earlier than expected return over the next month of footy.
