Adelaide held on in another classic edition of the Showdown over Port Adelaide last weekend, defeating their cross-town rivals by five points.

This contest sees the high scoring Crows take on the competition’s best defence. Adelaide rank 2nd for scoring, while Collingwood are top for fewest points conceded.

Adelaide have won three of their past four. Those wins were all at the Adelaide Oval with the loss an 18-point one to Fremantle at Optus Stadium. The Crows have ventured to Victoria just once this season for a 61-point win over Essendon in Round 2. They lost 10 straight at the home of footy, a sequence that started in the 2017 Grand Final.

The Crows rank 2nd in the competition for points per game. Riley Thilthorpe has booted 23 goals from nine matches, while Darcy Fogarty has kicked 21 from eight. That pair kicked three goals apiece in the win over Port Adelaide.

They were smashed in the inside 50 count (62-41) and clearances (56-29) last weekend but capitalised on their chances. Izak Rankine and Jordan Dawson will be key players and are averaging 23 disposals per game.
