North Melbourne were able to win their opening match as they edged past West Coast Eagles in an 87-82 triumph. Home advantage in the west should count for plenty for the Dockers.

Head to Head

The Dockers lead the head to head 2-0 in the last two years, beating the Kangaroos 102-24 in 2022 and 99-48 in 2021.

Fremantle Dockers Form

The Dockers were hugely disappointing in their opening match as they were beaten by a St Kilda side most had backed them to swat aside.

The Dockers are likely to be in something of a transition period following the departure of Rory Lobb and the retirement of David Mundy, but with only 52 points scored in Round 1 they need to find a source of points.

They now face a Kangaroos side that they humiliated in their last meeting, with the Dockers looking to home comforts this season.

North Melbourne Form

North Melbourne were excellent in their season opener as they managed to defeat the West Coast Eagles in a battling 87-82 win.

Youngster Harry Sheezel and Nick Larkey looked the part in the match as they provided the foundation on which their win was built.

Tristan Xerri is out after ankle surgery, with Todd Goldstein and Aidan Corr coming into the Roos side.

Aiden Bonar is left out this week as he drops to the emergencies.

Verdict

I am backing Fremantle to come out on top in this one. North Melbourne looked good in week one, but I think that they have a long way to go to be able to seriously challenge. I am also backing under 159.5 total points.
