Gold Coast Suns vs Port Adelaide Predictions

Port Adelaide have struggled against the top four sides in the competition, beaten by Geelong last week, and the Western Bulldogs and Brisbane Lions prior to that.

But the Power are tipped to bounce back against the Suns, who have dropped four of their last five games,

  • Gold Coast Suns have lost 4 of their last 5 matches
  • Port Adelaide have won their last 11 matches against Gold Coast Suns
  • Port Adelaide has covered the line in 7 of their last 8 matches at Metricon Stadium

Recent history tells us that Gold Coast will struggle to get near Port Adelaide, who have won the last 11 clashes. Power have lost just once in 12 matches against the Suns.

The most recent encounter proving a demolition job with the Suns held to just 29 points for the match.

Of their previous four matches, 51 was the highest score kicked by the Suns with the lowest being 20 back in 2017.

Gold Coast Suns Form

Gold Coast are not in great form, losing four of their last five games to slip to 4-8 for the season.

They were beaten by 27 points last week against Fremantle Dockers, and now face Port Adelaide which is a much tougher task.

The one positive is that they are playing at home, but Port Adelaide have a very good record at Metricon Stadium.

Gold Coast Suns Team News

Gold Coast Suns make two changes with Sam Collins and Sam Day both coming back into the side.

Caleb Gragam and Malcolm Rosas drop out.

Port Adelaide Form

The Power have struggled against sides inside the top four, dropping all four matches this season to sides who were inside the four at the time.

They put up a good fight against Geelong Cats last week, but again came up short when push came to shove.

They went down 112-91 at home to the Cats and lacked a little bit of class from the likes of young stars Zak Butters and Xavier Duursma who are out of the side at the minute.

Port have an excellent record against the Suns and can continue their dominance of bullying weaker sides in the competition.

Port Adelaide Team News

Todd Marshall is ruled out with injury and Boyd Woodcock and Riley Bonner are both omitted from the Power side.

The two changes see Jarrod Lienert and Scott Lycett come in.
