It has become a slightly noticeable trend with the Giants lacking the stamminer to hold out their opponents throughout the whole match, just as it was in their narrow victory against St. Kilda the week prior.

As well-structured the backline of the Giants can be, putting up a brick wall at times, it needs to be maintained if the GWS are going to stay a top-four side.

Brisbane played in a torrential contest against Geelong on Saturday night and it was the Cats that handled the elements better beating Brisbane 63-37, with the Lions unforgivably inaccurate, kicking just 4 goals from 17 scoring shots.

The Cats midfield got the better of the Lions in the wet and once again has raised questions about the quality of Brisbane after losing their third game from as many at the Gabba this season.
