The game was full of spite with tensions boiling over on multiple occasions to the happiness of the crowds.

Despite a gallant effort from Hogan (3 goals, 8 marks), Tom Green (32 touches) and Kelly (27 touches) the Giants though were unable to go the distance with the Swans booting the final two goals to seal victory and a home prelim in a fortnight.

No major injury news out of the Giants camp from their loss to Sydney. Toby Bedford has passed a fitness test and will be right to go for the semi.

The Lions had no problems disposing of Carlton in the Elimination Final last weekend at the Gabba.

Brisbane got out to an astonishing 60-0 lead late in the first half before Carlton decided to switch on kicking a few of their own.

The game was already over following the main break but Lions fans will wonder whether it was complacency from their own team or opposition talent which allowed the margin to close up towards the final siren.

Defender Jack Payne was subbed out at half time of the win over Carlton and participated in light training Tuesday with support around the knee. More tests will be carried out later in the week to determine match fitness.

The Giants are backed to win by a small margin with Himmelberg tipped to rack up the possessions at the back.
