Melbourne Demons vs Collingwood Predictions

Melbourne have only dropped one match for the season while Collingwood have only beaten three weaker sides in the competition. This is all about the Dees and another victory is predicted.

  • Melbourne Demons have won 13 of their last 14 matches
  • Melbourne have won 12 of their last 14 matches by a margin of 1-39 points
  • Collingwood have won 3 of their 12 matches this season

Head to Head

Collingwood hold the head to head count 4-1, but it is all scare across the last 10 matches.

Melbourne dominated in their last clash by 56 points in August last year at the Gabba.

Melbourne Demons Form

Melbourne have proven that they are the best side in the competition and the one that everyone need to beat.

The Demons have deafeated arguably the second and third best sides in the competition in the last few weeks, having beaten the Western Bulldogs and the Brisbane Lions.

Last week they started off slow against the Lions, but in the second half they played like the best side around. The Dees went on to win by 22 points in an impressive display.

They only need to bring that form to this match and Collingwood will not get near them as the market is expecting.

Melbourne Demons Team News

Ed Langdon comes in for Jake Melksham in the only change for the Dees.

Collingwood Form

Collingwood have had some big news during the week with coach Nathan Buckley coaching his last match this weekend with Robert Harvey taking over as interim boss.

Often when we have seen clubs go through this sort of process, they have played improved footy that we have not seen in previous weeks.

It is hard to see that being the case against the Demons, even despite Collingwood claiming only their third win of the season last weekend with a 78-73 victory over Adelaide Crows.

Collingwood Team News

Beau McCreery returns from injury along with Chris Mayne, but there is no place in the starting line-up for Mason Cox.

Brayden Sier is ruled out with a jaw injury.
