North Melbourne vs Adelaide Crows Predictions

The home side have dominated this match up, but that is predicted to end. I expect the much improved Crows to break recent history and hand out another thumping to this struggling North Melbourne side.

With Tex Walker flying, he should be supported in the goalscorer markets.

  • North Melbourne have lost 17 of their last 18 matches.
  • North Melbourne have lost the 3 games this season by 52, 59 and 128 points.
  • The home side have won the last 11 matches between North Melbourne and Adelaide Crows.
  • Adelaide Crows have won 2 of their last 3 matches.
  • Adelaide Crows' Taylor Walker has scored 17 goals in 3 matches this season.

North Melbourne hold the recent head to head advantage, winning three of the last four matches against Adelaide Crows.

The only meeting last year ended with a 119-50 blowout win for the Kangaroos in Round 9, but North haven't won since.

The home side has won the last 11 matches between these two sides.

North Melbourne Form

North Melbourne's miserable start to the season hit a new low last weekend when they were beaten by 128 points by the Western Bulldogs.

The Kangaroos were not competitive at Marvel Stadium as they lost 167-39 to go 0-3 for the campaign and slipped to a 17th defeat in 18 games.

North Melbourne were beaten by 52 points to Port Adelaide in Round 1 and 59 points to Gold Coast Suns in Round 2 and sit bottom of the ladder.

North Melbourne Team News

The Kangaroos are handed a boost in defence with Aiden Bonar returning this week in one of two changes.

Luke McDonald also comes back into the side at half-back to provide some much needed experience.

Aiden Corr remains sidelined, while there is no recall this week for Dom Tyson.

Adelaide Crows Form

Adelaide Crows made it two wins from three games this season with a hard-fought 95-85 victory over Gold Coast Suns on Good Friday.

Taylor Walker kicked six goals at the Adelaide Oval to take his tally to 17 in three games this season.

Last season's wooden spoonists had started the season with a huge 103-91 upset win over Geelong Cats in Round 1.

The Crows were beaten 121-88 by the Sydney Swans in Round 2, but still made enough of an impression at the SCG in the defeat.

Adelaide Crows Team News

Rory Sloane is ruled out due to a sickening eye injury and rookie Nick Murray is omitted by the Crows.

Darcy Fogarty comes into the side for the absent Sloane.

A cautious approach is taken with Daniel Talia and Riley Thilthorpe with neither rushed back from injury and concussion this week.
