The Dogs beat North by 49 points last season can be repeat that wide margin win.

  • North Melbourne have lost both games this season by 52 and 59 points.
  • Western Bulldogs have won 2 of their last 3 matches against North Melbourne.
  • Western Bulldogs beat North Melbourne by 49 points last season.
  • Western Bulldogs have won 5 of their last 6 matches.

Head to Head

Western Bulldogs hold a 6-4 head to head record against North Melbourne over the last 10 clashes.

The Dogs handed out two heavy defeats on North last year, the first by 44 points in the pre-season Community Series and then by 49 points in the home and away season.

North Melbourne Form

North Melbourne have stuck their hand up as prime wooden spoon candidates in the opening two rounds.

The Kangaroos have gone down by 52 points to Port Adelaide in Round 1 and 59 points to Gold Coast Suns last weekend in Round 2.

North will welcome hosting a first home game, but their losing run spans greater than just this season. With just one win in the last 17 matches, the problems run deep.

Ben Cunnington will provide a big boost for North Melbourne as he returns. Cunnington hasn't played since the Roos lost to Western Bulldogs in Round 5.

Top draft pick Will Phillips is also named in the Kangaroos side as he makes his AFL debut.

Aiden Corr and Aiden Bonar are both ruled out through injury. Dom Tyson has been dropped.
