Port Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs Predictions

It is 2nd vs 3rd this Saturday as the third-placed Power host the second-placed Bulldogs in Adelaide. Port Adelaide are tipped to edge a blockbuster with a strong record against the Dogs.

  • Both sides bounced back from Round 7 defeats with victories last weekend.
  • Port Adelaide have won 4 of the last 5 matches against Western Bulldogs.
  • Port Adelaide won the last match 55-42 against the Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval.

Head to Head

This will be the third year in a row that the Bulldogs have had to travel to Adelaide to face Power, but they have split the last two meetings at Adelaide Oval.

Western Bulldogs were 66-41 winners in 2019 before losing 55-42 last year. That victory in 2019 is the Dogs' only win in the last five head to heads.

Port Adelaide Form

The Power are coming off a comfortable win 87-38 against cross town rivals Adelaide Crows in the Showdown last weekend.

After a heated first quarter, Port Adelaide simply overpowered the Crows and put themselves back into the winner’s column after a Round 7 loss to Brisbane Lions.

Port are strong across the field in various statistics and figures, the problem is that the Bulldogs play a similar brand of football and are also leading the competition in the same categories.
