Western Bulldogs are the team to beat this season and a misfiring Richmond Tigers won't be up to the task. The reigning premiers aren't travelling with any real confidence and lose star man Dustin Martin for this one.

Reigning premiers Richmond Tigers are 3-3 and bidding to avoid their worst start to a season since 2016.

Richmond were no match for the undefeated Melbourne Demons as they were beaten 82-48 at the MCG last weekend.

The Tigers have lost three of their last four matches having gone down to Sydney Swans and Port Adelaide over the last month.

Damien Hardwick's side did defeat St Kilda 134-48 following the loss to Power in Adelaide.

Dustin Martin and Kane Lambert both suffered injuries in the defeat to the Melbourne Demons.

Martin, who was marking his 250th game, is ruled out with concussion. A calf injury will sideline Lambert for a number of weeks.

The pair join Dion Prestia and Nick Vlastuin on the list of injury absentees.

Riley Collier-Dawkins comes into the Tigers side for his debut, two years after being Pick 20 in the 2018 draft.

Western Bulldogs Form

The Bulldogs made it 6-0 for the season with another impressive victory last weekend, this time in Canberra against the GWS Giants.

It was a physically tough night at the office for the Dogs as they came out battered and bruised from a 104-65 victory over GWS.

Luke Beveridge's side have notched up wins over Collingwood, West Coast Eagles, Essendon Bombers, Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast Suns and the Giants.

The Dogs lead both the scoring and fewest points conceded stats this season and there should be no stopping them.

The Bulldogs' win over the Giants came at a cost with Josh Dunkley (shoulder) and Lin Jong (hamstring) set for lenghty spells on the sidelines.

Tim English will also miss Friday's game through concussion suffered in friendly fire from Aaron Naughton. Laitham Vandermeer is also out and Lachlan McNeil is given a rest.

Patrick Lipinski, Josh Schache, Mitch Hannan and Rhylee West come into the Dogs side.

Number 1 draft pick Jamarra Ugle-Hagan will have to wait for his debut after being listed among the emergencies.
