St Kilda vs Hawthorn Predictions

St Kilda have been unable to make Marvel Stadium the fortress it once was, losing three of their four games at the venue this season.

But the Saints are tipped to rebound after two disappointing losses to the Richmond Tigers and Port Adelaide, although the resurgent Hawks should keep it a tight contest.

  • St Kilda have won their last 2 matches against Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium.
  • The underdog has covered the line in 5 of the last 6 matches between St Kilda and Hawthorn.
  • Hawthorn have seen 5 of their 6 matches decided by a 1-39 margin this season.

Head to Head

St Kilda have won three out of the last five meetings between the two sides, including winning last year's only meeting with a competitive 14-point victory.

Saints have had the wood over Hawthorn in recent years, winning their two previous encounters at Marvel Stadium.

St Kilda Form

In recent weeks, St Kilda has suffered back to back 50+ point losses at the hands of two premiership fancies Richmond Tigers and Port Adelaide.

The Saints were demolished by the classy Tigers 134-48 at Marvel Stadium MCG in Round 5.

They travelled to Adelaide last weekend in Round 6 and were equally disappointing against the Power, losing 93-39 at the Adelaide Oval.

After winning two of their opening six matches, the Saints now find themselves at 2-4 and will be looking to get back on the winners list after a forgettable fortnight.

Jimmy Webster and Ryan Byrnes also come back into the St Kilda side.

Daniel McKenzie is suspended after last week's hit, while Jake Carlisle, Jack Lonie and Ben Long are left out.
