Top six rivals West Coast Eagles and Geelong Cats go head-to-head at Optus Stadium on Saturday. The Eagles start as warm favourites for the AFL Round 9 clash against a depleted Cats side.

The Eagles were impressive winners over Collingwood last week, while the Cats also won against Fremantle Dockers. But they made heavy weather of that on Monday night, and are on the quick turnaround without some key men.

West Coast Eagles Form & Team News

West Coast trailed Collingwood at quarter time last week before running out emphatic 111-45 winners. The victory was a fourth straight and saw the Eagles leapfrog the Pies and into the top eight in sixth spot on the ladder.

Harry Edwards will make his debut for the Eagles and Brendon Ah Chee is the other in for West Coast. Jack Redden is injured) and Josh Rotham is left out.

Geelong Cats Form & Team News

The Cats had to dig deep for a hard-fought 48-18 win over the Dockers in a low-scoring affair in the rain on Monday. It's a quick turnaround for Geelong, who stayed in Perth ahead of the showdown with the Eagles.

That win was a fourth from the last five games for Geelon and kept the Cats in the top four but the absence of Gary Ablett and Joel Selwood is likely to be felt even more so against the Eagles.

The Cats are unchanged.

The Geelong team for Saturday can be found below:

FB: Mark O'Connor, Mark Blicavs, Jake Kolodjashnij
HB: Jack Henry, Harry Taylor, Tom Stewart
C: Sam Menegola, Patrick Dangerfield, Lachie Fogarty
HF: Mitch Duncan, Tom Hawkins, Gryan Miers
FF: Sam Simpson, Gary Rohan, Brad Close
FOL: Esava Ratugolea, Cameron Guthrie, Brandan Parfitt
IC: Jed Bews, Lachie Henderson, Charlie Constable, Zach Tuohy
EMG: James Parsons, Nathan Kreuger, Zach Guthrie, Cooper Stephens
