St Kilda will be out to stay in touch with the top eight by chalking up a win over struggling West Coast to close out Sir Doug Nicholls Round.

The Saints have a win-loss record of 4-5 and sit in 12th position on the ladder, one game outside the eight. They come off a 15 point loss to Carlton in Round 9.

West Coast are the only winless side remaining in 2025 and came close last weekend but couldn’t account for Richmond, going down by two points in a heart-stopper at the MCG.

The Eagles are conceding the most points of any side in the competition and have lacked depth around the ground. St Kilda will capitalise here. Look for Jack Higgins to continue his excellent start to 2025, while Jack Sinclair should find plenty of the footy across half-back.

West Coast Eagles Form Analysis

West Coast’s nine losses have been by an average margin of 42 points. Three of their four matches at Optus Stadium have been by less than 39.5 points, including a two point defeat at the hands of Essendon in Round 6.

The Eagles are last in the competition for a number of key metrics, including points scored, fewest points conceded, disposals and clearances.

Ryan Maric picked up 25 disposals last weekend and is averaging 22 this year, while Liam Baker is averaging 23. Those two are the only at 20+. Jamie Cripps kicked three in the loss against Richmond. He has 13 from nine matches this season. Jake Waterman has 12 from six.

St Kilda have ventured outside of Victoria on three occasions in 2025 for a win and two losses. They have had a reasonably tough draw with six of their nine matches coming against finalist from last year. They are two wins from three matches against non-finalists from last season.
