The Geelong Cats have now gone three without a win following their 81-74 loss to the GWS Giants in their last clash, but can they bounce back and quieten the Dogs' bark?

The Cats have won eight of their last 10 against the Bulldogs including their last four matches in a row. The Dogs have only won twice in the last 10 matchups between the sides.

The Western Bulldogs will have been hugely frustrated to have seen their five-game winning run brought to an end in a tight 84-77 loss to the Gold Coast Suns.

While a single defeat will not define the Bulldogs and their season, the Suns were hardly a side they thought would end such a positive run of form.

Now, the Bulldogs need to lean on their excellent home form in the AFL that has seen them win their last three in a row in front of their own fans.

The Geelong Cats are enduring another torrid run of form that has seen them slip down to 10th on the ladder with six defeats in 11 games.

Defeats at the hands of the Richmond Tigers, Fremantle Dockers and GWS Giants means a five-game winning run now feels like a long time ago.

With four defeats in five away games this term, it does not feel like the Cats are set up to win this one. Of course, standing victorious in eight of their last 10 against the Bulldogs means the Cats have something to lean on.
