Last week they won only three of their seven games as the wrapped up a miserable 10-game stint at home.

The week began promisingly with a 3-1 win against Cleveland, but they then dropped the next two games, 8-3 and 7-6.

The Red Sox bounced back to split the series with a 4-2 win, but they immediately returned to losing ways with a 4-2 loss to Milwaukee.

Boston lost the second meeting with the Brewers, 4-9, but at least ended the week on a positive note with a 7-2 victory in the third clash.

Houston are looking to continue a good run of home form that has seen them win seven of the last eight.

The Astros made a slow start to last week as they were surprisingly swept in a three-game series against Oakland.

They were beaten 7-5, 5-3 and 4-2 by the Athletics in the final three games of their roadtrip.

A return home brought an improvement in fortunes for the Astros though, as they won back-to-back games against Seattle.

Houston won 4-2 and 11-1 before dropping the third clash 5-4, but they were able to rebound with a 3-2 victory in the final encounter.
