The Rockies opened the season on the road in Arizona and suffered back-to-back defeats to the Diamondbacks, losing 16-1 and 7-3.

They finally got off the mark in the third meeting at Chase Field, winning 9-4, but they failed to follow that up.

Colorado dropped the final game in Arizona, 5-1, before heading to Chicago for this three-game series with the Cubs.

The Rockies were shut out as they lost the opening game of this series, falling 5-0 to the Cubs on Monday night, and were then blown out in a 12-2 defeat last night.

The Cubs opened the 2024 regular season campaign on the road in Texas, and fell to back-to-back defeats.

Chicago were then able to follow up that victory when they returned home to Wrigley Field for their first home outings of the year.

The Cubs were able to shut out the Rockies in a 5-0 win to start this series, and backed that up with a 12-2 victory last night.
