The Dodgers have been strong at home this season despite a couple of defeats to the Cubs, while the Rockies are stacking up losses as they continue to struggle offensively.

Colorado entered this series having suffered a three-game sweep at the hands of San Diego that dropped them to 3-12.

The Rockies began the season by sandwiching a 2-1 win at Tampa Bay with 3-2 and 6-4 losses to the Rays.

They were then swept in Philadelphia, losing 6-1, 5-1 and 3-1, before returning home to lose 6-3 and 7-4 to the Athletics in their first home outings.

Colorado won the final meeting with the A's, 12-5, only to then suffer back-to-back defeats as they lost 7-1 and 17-2 to Milwaukee.

The Rockies avoided being swept as they won the last meeting 7-2, but they again failed to build on a victory as they lost 8-0, 2-0 and 6-0 in San Diego.

Los Angeles Dodgers Form

Los Angeles came into this series having cooled off after a fast start, losing six of their previous nine games.

The Dodgers made a great start as they opened with eight straight wins, winning back-to-back games with the Chicago Cubs in Japan, 4-1 and 6-3, before heading home to sweep Detroit and Atlanta.

They beat the Tigers 5-4, 8-5 and 7-3, and beat the Braves 6-1, 3-1 and 6-5, but saw their flawless start come to an end when they sandwiched a 3-1 victory over Philadelphia with 3-2 and 8-7 defeats to the Phillies.

Los Angeles then lost the first two games of the series in Washington, 6-4 and 8-2, before bouncing back to take the final meeting, 6-5.

The Dodgers backed that up with a 3-0 victory over Chicago, but they failed to keep their winning run going as they then lost 16-0 and 4-2 to the Cubs.

COL Rockies @ LA Dodgers

Los Angeles dropped a couple of games last week, but on the whole they have been strong at home.

Colorado, on the other hand, continue to stack up losses and were shut out in three of their last four games, so we expect another Dodgers win here.
