Houston head to Los Angeles on the back of a loss, but in good form with eight wins in their last 10 games.

This Astros’ strong run began against the other Los Angeles team, as they edged the Angels 8-7 in a high-scoring clash.

They then built on that victory as they returned home to sweep Philadelphia in a three-game series, winning 1-0, 2-0 and 2-1.

Houston failed to sweep the Chicago Cubs in their next home series, but they did sandwiched a 12-3 loss with 7-4 and 2-0 victories to maintain their momentum.

The Astros then travelled to Colorado to beat the Rockies 6-5 and 5-3, although they did miss out on the sweep as they lost the series finale 7-6.

Los Angeles Dodgers Form

Los Angeles enter this series on an outstanding run of form, having now won nine of their previous 10 games.

The Dodgers’ red-hot run started at home as they beat Washington 13-7 in the final game of that series.

They then went out on the road and swept the Rockies in Colorado, recording 9-7, 8-1 and 3-1 wins.

Los Angeles continued that road trip in Kansas City, and having won the series opener 5-4, they rebounded from a 9-5 loss to the Royals with a 5-1 victory.

The Dodgers returned home after that and were able to sweep the Chicago White Sox in a three-game series, winning 6-1, 5-4 and 6-2.
