Anadolu Efes Form

Efes breezed past Mersin in the Super Lig quarterfinals, securing a 92-71 home win and edging the second leg 84-81 to advance to the semis.

They opened this series with a clutch 90-87 road win over Besiktas, led by a sensational Shane Larkin performance — 35 points, 7-of-11 from three, three rebounds, and two assists. However, they collapsed in Game 2, losing 97-70 in a flat display, with Elijah Bryant the lone bright spot (23 points).

Efes bounced back strongly in Game 3 at home, winning 94-87. Daniel Oturu starred this time, scoring 22 points and missing just one of his 11 field goal attempts.

Besiktas Form

Besiktas had an excellent regular season, finishing 2nd in the Super Lig and sweeping Galatasaray 2-0 in the quarterfinals.

They came close to taking Game 1 against Efes, leading after three quarters, but couldn’t close the game out due to poor shot selection late on. Dustin Sleva stood out with 22 points and nine rebounds.

Game 2 saw a dominant response at home, with Besiktas winning 97-70 thanks to Jonah Mathews’ 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting. However, they fell short again in Game 3, losing 94-87.

Anadolu Efes v Besiktas

Efes’ depth and experience should prove too much for Besiktas. Even if Shane Larkin isn’t at his best, the likes of Bryant and Oturu are more than capable of stepping up. I’m backing the hosts to finish the series with a comfortable win and cover the handicap.
