CBA History


The CBA began in the 1995-96 season. The first non-Chinese player to play in the CBA was Uzbekistan's Mihail Savinkov who joined the Zhejiang Squirrels.

James Hodges became one of the first Americans to play in the CBA in the 1996–97 season which saw more imports from the United States play in China.
