Monaco were victorious in their last six head to head matches against ASVEL in the Euroleague and I will back them to add another win to this tally since they need it to secure the Top 4 placement.

ASVEL are having another disappointing season in the Euroleague third year in a row, securing just 13 victories in 33 rounds and currently sit in 15th place.

They were in fantastic form in late March though, outplaying Olympiakos 81-70 at home, then doing something similar against Zalgiris 88-79 in France.

ASVEL were nowhere close to extending that streak last week in Spain, suffering a convincing 111-75 defeat to Baskonia where they were behind from start. Melvin Ajinca was their top performer with 16 points (7/10 FG).

Monaco Form

Monaco will clinch 4th position if they win this clash, which also means home court advantage in the quarterfinals. Their current record is 20-13.

Vassilis Spanoulis’ side had an amazing run in second half of March, securing three consecutive victories against Fenerbahce 91-82, Zalgiris 96-86 and Olympiakos 80-77.

Their winning run has come to an end last week at home, suffering an 88-76 loss against the reigning champions Panathinaikos. Daniel Theis led the way with 18 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
