Baskonia’s recent results and form in the Euroleague have been poor, claiming just one victory in their last five appearances and dropped down to 15th position with a 9-14 record.

They looked solid in last week’s clash against Real Madrid, were ahead after 30 minutes of play and for majority of the final quarter, but conceded a three-pointer at the buzzer to lose the clash 90-89.

Nikolaos Rogkavopoulos was Baskonia’s top performer, ending the duel with 22 points (8/20 FG attempts) and 11 rebounds.

The Basque side bounced back last weekend in the Spanish ACB Liga, beating Lleida 78-74 away from home, Trent Forrest being man of the match with 22 points, three rebounds and one assist.

Even though they were beaten in their most recent Euroleague appearances, Barcelona have been in good form recently, winning four of the last five clashes and sit in 7th place with a 13-10 record.

After earning back to back victories against Paris 90-79, Monaco 98-84, Panathinaikos 82-73 and Anadolu Efes 90-80, the Catalan giants lost to Lyon ASVEL 100-94 last week in France.

Kevin Punter had a decent showing, scoring 19 points (8/13 FG attempts, followed by Jabari Parker who bagged 18 points but with weaker percentages.

Last weekend, Barcelona claimed an overtime 95-90 victory against Murcia in the Spanish ACB Liga.
