Fenerbahce vs Monaco Predictions

Fenerbahce’s confidence is very high after claiming an 11-point victory on Wednesday. Monaco’s key player Mike James is completely out of form, so I will back the Turks to win in handicap and punch their Final Four ticket.

  • Fenerbahce have won 4 of their last 5 matches.
  • Fenerbahce have won 16 of their last 18 home matches (Euroleague).

Head to Head

Fenerbahce have a 6-3 advantage against Monaco in 9 matches.

Game 3 was won by Monaco 89-78 on Wednesday night.

Fenerbahce Form

The Yellow Canaries took advantage of their home court on Wednesday and claimed an 89-78 victory against the French outfit to take the 2-1 lead in the series. Tarik Biberovic (14 points, four rebounds, one assist), Nick Calathes (13 points, four rebounds, five assists) and Marko Guduric (11 points, six assists) played key roles.

Fenerbahce had a solid chance to return from France with a massive 2-0 lead, but they were crushed in the last quarter 28-14 and lost the match 93-88. Tyler Dorsey (25 points) and Scottie Wilbekin (23) had an amazing performance.

Game 1 was somewhat different where the Yellow Canaries were carried by Nigel Hayes (19 points, seven rebounds, one assist) and Nick Calathes. One of the key stats was 3-point shooting, where Fener hit 14 of their 30 attempts.

Fenerbahce Team News

Yigit Mestoglu is injured, while Jonhathan Motley is doubtful.

Monaco Form

Sasa Obradovic’s side looked solid in three quarters on Wednesday. The second one was the key to their loss (19-28). Mike James was once again far from his season average numbers, scoring just 11 points. Alpha Diallo topped the charts with 23 points in Game 3.

52% for 3-point shooting was the key to Monaco’s victory in Game 2, helping them to tie the series. Donatas Montejunas was the man of the match, hitting some key shots and ending the contest with 18 points.

Monaco had a nine-point advantage in the last quarter in Game 1 but still allowed the Turks to comeback and force overtime. Mike James was nowhere close to his normal percentages, but ended the match with 16 points, while Elie Okobo topped the charts with 19 points.

Monaco Team News

John Brown is doubtful for this match after hurting his shoulder.

Verdict

Fenerbahce were one of the strongest hosts in the Euroleague regular season. Monaco’s key players are underperforming in the quarterfinals, and I don’t see them causing an upset on Friday.
