Monaco vs Fenerbahce Predictions

Fenerbahce’s recent form has been poor, losing three of their last five games across competitions. Monaco wrapped up the regular season with four straight wins and I will back them to gain advantage in the quarterfinals.

  • Monaco have won 13 of their 17 home matches (Euroleague).
  • Fenerbahce have lost 12 of their 17 away matches (Euroleague).

Head to Head

Fenerbahce have a 4-2 advantage against Monaco in 6 matches.

The most recent head to head match was won by Monaco 76-69 in February.

Monaco Form

Monaco demonstrated great form in the closing weeks of the Euroleague regular season, ending it in great 3rd position with a score of 23 victories and 11 defeats.

They were victorious in their last four appearances, beating Valencia 79-78, Lyon ASVEL 87-77, Zalgiris Kaunas 69-66 and most recently Bayern Munich 89-85.

Mike James was the top scorer so far this season, averaging 18.7 points per game, followed by Elie Okobo who is at 10.8 PPG.

Monaco Team News

Terry Tarpey is injured.

Fenerbahce Form

Fenerbahce were the most dominant home team in the Euroleague regular season, having won 15 of their 17 appearances in Istanbul. Inconsistency on the road is the main reason why they ended as the 6th placed team with 20 wins and 14 defeats.

The Yellow Canaries wasted a great opportunity for a better placement by losing their last two rounds against Olympiakos 84-81 in overtime and to Anadolu Efes 82-80 at home.

Nigel Hayes was the top scorer in the regular season, having 14.5 points per game, followed by Scottie Wilbekin who is at 13.2, but also spent a lot of time recovering from an injury.

Fenerbahce Team News

Yigit Mestoglou is injured.

Jonhatan Motley is doubtful.

Fenerbahce lost a couple of games in Turkey and in the Euroleague where they were massive favorites recently. Monaco should be able to exploit opponents’ poor form and gain a 1-0 lead.
