Olympiakos’ confidence is going through the roof right now, having won five consecutive matches across competitions.

In their most recent Euroleague appearances, the squad from Piraeus defeated Panathinaikos 94-89 last week in Athens, Evan Fournier (22 points) and Sasha Vezenkov (20 points) playing huge roles.

The Red and Whites are currently sitting in 5th place on the table with a record of five victories and three defeats.

Olympiakos were also victorious last weekend in the Greek Basket League, crushing Promitheas 106-66 at home with Nikola Milutinov scoring 19 points, while also adding ten rebounds and one assist to his name.

Lyon are having a disappointing start to the new Euroleague season third time in a row, winning just two out of eight encounters and currently sit in 17th place.

The French side earned a 76-69 home victory against Baskonia in the 4th round but then suffered three consecutive defeats to Barcelona, Panathinaikos and Bayern.

Lyon lost their fourth match in a row last week at home to Fenerbahce but put up a good fight 77-73, Nando De Colo being the top performer with 18 points, 11 assists and two rebounds.
