Zalgiris had a strong start to this year’s Euroleague, spent a couple of weeks at top of the table, but their form declined in the last couple of weeks, currently sitting in 11th place with a 10-9 record.
The Lithuanian champions suffered third consecutive defeat last week at home to Olympiakos 92-85, Sylvain Francisco topping the charts with 22 points, six assists and three rebounds (7/13 FG attempts).
Earlier in December, Zalgiris also lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv 95-78 and ASVEL Lyon 78-72.
They were victorious on the domestic scene last weekend, beating Lietkabelis 89-85.
Real Madrid Form
Real Madrid are one of the hottest teams in the Euroleague right now, having won their last four encounters and made a massive progress in the standings, currently sitting in 8th place.
Los Blancos outplayed Bayern Munich 88-76 last week in Spain, gaining a huge 17-point lead in the first half. Dzanan Musa was man of the match with 15 points and five rebounds, missing just one field goal attempt.

Real Madrid picked up fantastic form recently, claiming five back to back victories across competitions. Zalgiris lost three games in a row and I don’t see them capable of stopping red-hot Los Blancos.
