The 2023 FIBA World Cup takes place between August 25 and September 10, with 32 national teams and a host of NBA stars bidding to become the world champions of basketball.

Spain will be defending the crown they won in 2019, and this year’s tournament is being held across three countries, with the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan all hosting games.

Here is a rundown of the schedule and the key dates you need to know for the FIBA Basketball World Cup:

2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Schedule

The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup will take place between Friday, August 25 and Sunday, September 10.

The format consists of two group stages, with the first round being held between August 25-30, and the second round taking place between September 1-3.

From there the tournament enters a knockout format, starting with four quarter-final games taking place over the course of September 5-6, with both semi-finals being held on September 8.

The final, along with the third place playoff, will then take place on Sunday, September 10.
