2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Guide

The 2023 FIBA World Cup will determine the world champions of basketball, with 32 national teams from Africa, the Americas, Asia & Oceania, and Europe taking part in the tournament, which is being co-hosted by the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan.

The United States, led Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, are the bookmakers’ favourites to win the tournament and put behind them a disappointing 2019 campaign that saw them crash out at the quarter-final stage.

Kerr has won multiple NBA titles as both a player and a head coach, and he will be working with a talented roster that features the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year, Paolo Banchero, as well as Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers.

It will not be a walk in the park of the United States though, with a whole host of other stars from the NBA representing their nations in this tournament. It promises to be an entertaining few weeks culminating in the final in the first half of September, and you can watch the action unfold live online thanks to live streaming.
