Germany Form

Germany boast a perfect 5-0 record at the FIBA World Cup heading into the quarter-finals.

The Germans opened the tournament with a one-sided 81-63 win over Japan, before battling past Australia, 85-82.

They then completed the first round group stage with a 101-75 demolition of Finland, and that proved to be the start of a run of three consecutive blowout wins.

Germany began round two of the World Cup by demolishing Georgia, running out 100-73 winners.

Their second win in the group was even more commanding, as the Germans downed Slovenia, and Luka Doncic, 100-71.

Latvia Form

Latvia come into this quarter-final game having won four of their previous five World Cup games.

The Latvians opened the tournament with a 109-70 blowout of Lebanon, and followed that up with an 88-86 upset of France.

Their perfect start was ended by a 101-75 defeat to Canada, but they have not lost a game since then.

Latvia rebounded in their opening game of the second round group stage, beating Spain 74-69.

The Latvians then secured a place in the knockout stage of the tournament with a 104-84 success against Brazil.

Verdict

Germany have been on a tear and just made light work of NBA superstar Luka Doncic and Serbia.

They are strong at both ends of the court, so we like their chances of winning and covering here.
