Hapoel Jerusalem breezed through the quarterfinals, sweeping Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan 3-0.

They started the semifinals with a narrow 88-85 road loss to Hapoel Tel Aviv but bounced back with a 98-87 win at home in Game 2.

In a dramatic Game 3 decider, Hapoel mounted a huge fourth-quarter comeback (32-15) to edge out an 86-83 win. Jared Harper led with 19 points, despite shooting just 6-of-19 from the field.

They gave Maccabi Tel Aviv a real scare in Game 1 of the finals, leading for long stretches before their shooting cooled off in the final quarter. They eventually lost 91-88 in a close contest.

After a disappointing 2024/25 Euroleague campaign, Maccabi turned their full attention to domestic competitions and finished the regular season in 1st place.

They swept Nes Ziona 3-0 in the quarterfinals and made light work of Hapoel Holon in the semis, winning 90-81 at home and 85-73 on the road. Jaylen Hoard starred in Game 2 with 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting and a perfect 8-of-8 from the line.

In Game 1 of the finals, Maccabi pulled off a late comeback to edge Hapoel Jerusalem 91-88, with Hoard again playing a crucial role, recording 18 points and nine rebounds.

Maccabi have often struggled on the road this season, particularly against top domestic teams. Given Hapoel’s strong performances at home and their near-miss in Game 1, I’m backing them to respond with a win and tie the series.
