Colgate compiled a 23-8 regular season record and went on the win the Patriot League Conference tournament.

The Raiders have not lost a game since they were beaten 61-60 at American back on February 4.

They responded to that loss by reeling off six consecutive wins to go into the conference tournament in great form.

Colgate then dispatched Loyola MD 92-73 and Army 91-74 to book their place in the Patriot League Conference championship game.

The Raiders completed their mission with a 79-61 victory over Lafayette in the tournament final to extend their win streak to nine games.

Texas Form

Texas finished the regular season with a 23-8 record and won the Big 12 Conference tournament.

The Longhorns lost some steam in the second half of the regular season as they went 4-4 over their final eight games.

They snapped a two-game losing sequence as they beat #3 Kansas in their regular season finale, 75-59, and they backed that up in the Big 12 tournament.

Texas ousted Oklahoma State 61-47 in their first outing, before battling past #22 TCU, 66-60 in the semi-finals.

The Longhorns made much more straightforward work of #3 Kansas in the final though, downing the Jayhawks 76-56 to claim the crown.

Colgate v Texas

Texas come into March Madness on the back of an excellent conference championship tournament.

The Longhorns are backed to keep that running by avoiding an upset here, but they have been unreliable as a 10+ point favourite recently so we fancy Colgate with the points.
