The Bluejays are 5-4 in their last nine games, a run that started with three defeats in their final six games of the regular season.

They did win their final two games and followed that up with an 87-74 win against Villanova in their first outing at the Big East tournament.

Creighton to make it four-in-a-row however, exiting the tournament in the next round with an 82-60 blowout defeat to #15 Xavier.

The Bluejays did rebound in the first round of March Madness though, beating NC State 72-63.

Baylor Form

Baylor also come into this game having blown hot and cold recently, going 3-4 in their last 7 games.

The Bears stumbled late in the regular season as they lost back-to-back games against #5 Kansas and #14 Kansas State in the second half of February.

They then lost their regular season finale, falling to a 73-58 defeat when they hosted Iowa State.

The Cyclones were proving to be Baylor’s bogey team, and when the two teams met again in the Big 12 tournament it was Iowa State who progressed, winning 78-72.

The Bears put that behind them in the first round of this competition however, beating UC Santa Barbara in emphatic fashion 74-56.

Baylor will be feeling good about themselves after finally getting back to winning ways.
