Houston enter this big March Madness matchup on a devastating run of form, having won each of their previous 14 games.

The Cougars have lost just once all season and have not tasted defeat since the 82-81 overtime loss to Texas Tech on February 1.

They responded to that loss by closing out the regular season on a 10-game tear, and kept that streak going during the conference tournament.

Houston beat Colorado 77-68 and BYU 74-54 to reach the final of the Big 12 tournament, where they beat Arizona 72-64.

The Cougars then make it 14-in-a-row as they kicked off their national tournament campaign with a 78-40 demolition of SIU Edwardsville.

Gonzaga Form

Gonzaga enter this game on a strong run of form, having won 10 of their last 11 games and each of the last five.

The Bulldogs tripped up late in the regular season as they lost 74-67 to Saint Mary’s CA, but they rebounded to win the last two games on the schedule.

They went out on the road to down Santa Clara 95-76, before heading to San Francisco where they recorded a 95-75 victory.

Gonzaga’s run continued in the West Coast tournament as they beat San Francisco 85-76 and Saint Mary’s CA 58-51, and reached five games in their first outing at this year’s national tournament.

The Bulldogs downed Georgia in the opening round, 89-68, to set up this meeting with Houston.
