Miami FL go into their first Final Four matchup on a four-game win streak, having rebounded emphatically from their conference tournament disappointment.

Having finished the regular season with a 24-6 record, the Hurricanes entered the ACC tournament at the quarter-final stage and beat Wake Forest 74-72.

They crashed out of the tournament 24 hours later though, falling to a 78-85 defeat against #21 Duke.

Miami bounced back in the opening round of March Madness to beat Drake 63-56, and followed that up with an 85-69 win over #21 Indiana.

The Hurricanes then sprung a major upset in the Sweet 16 as they cruised to an 89-75 victory over #2 Houston.

That would not be the last of the upsets though, as they then came back from a double-digit deficit in the second half to beat #5 Texas, 88-81, in the Elite Eight.

Connecticut Form

Like Miami, Connecticut have also bounced back from a disappointing showing in the conference tournament.

The Huskies finished the regular season on a five-game win streak and beat Providence 73-66 in the opening round of the Big East tournament.

They bowed out in the next round though, falling to a 70-68 defeat when they took on #6 Marquette.

UCONN has responded to that loss in style though, reeling off four consecutive wins to make it to the Final Four.

The Huskies beat 87-63 Iona in the first round, and followed that up with a 70-55 win over #19 Saint Mary’s (CA).

They then blew out Arkansas 88-65 in the Sweet 16, before ruthlessly dispatching #9 Gonzaga in the Elite Eight, 82-54.

Verdict

Miami FL v Connecticut

Miami are a team that have thrived in the role of underdog this season.

Offensively they are red hot coming into this too, so the Hurricanes are backed to at least cover as a betting underdog.
