San Diego go into March Madness’ Sweet 16 on a six-game win streak and having won 12 of the last 13.

The Aztecs dropped their penultimate game of the regular season, but have not lost a game since then.

They rebounded to beat Wyoming in their final regular season outing, and then followed that up with success at the Mountain West Conference tournament.

San Diego beat Colorado State 64-61 and San Jose State 64-49, before beating Utah State 62-57 in the final.

And the Aztecs have continued their streak at the national championship by beating the College of Charleston 63-57 and Furman 75-52.

Alabama Form

Alabama are on a five-game win streak as they get ready to take on San Diego State in the Sweet 16 of March Madness.

The Crimson Tide slipped up a couple of times late in the regular season, losing to #10 Tennessee and #24 Texas A&M.

They rebounded in emphatic fashion though, reeling off three comfortable victories to clinch the SEC tournament.

Alabama beat Mississippi State 72-49 and #25 Missouri 72-61, before blowing out Texas A&M 82-63 in the final.

The Crimson Tide have cruised through the national tournament so far too, beating Texas A&M-CC 96-75 and Maryland 73-51 to make the Sweet 16.

Verdict

Alabama have been dominating the opposition in tournament play over the past couple of weeks.

That trend is tipped to continue here as they march into the Elite Eight at March Madness.
