The Horned Frogs lost six of their final nine games in the regular season, including four of the five meetings with ranked teams.

They did knock off Kansas State in the first round of the Big 12 conference tournament, downing the #12 Wildcats 80-67.

However, TCU’s joy was short lived as they were eliminated from the tournament the following day, losing 66-605 to #7 Texas.

The Horned Frogs rebounded in their opening game of March Madness, edging Arizona State 72-70 to set up this meeting with Gonzaga.

Gonzaga go into this matchup in fantastic form, having now won each of their last 10 games.

The Bulldogs have not lost since suffering a 78-70 overtime defeat to Saint Mary’s (CA) back on February.

They responded to that loss by winning their final seven games of the regular season, including winning the rematch with Saint Mary’s (CA), 77-68.

Gonzaga then kept their run going as they beat San Francisco 84-73 and Saint Marys (CA) 77-51 to win the conference tournament.

That set them up for the national tournament, and the Bulldogs made a strong start with an 82-70 win against Grand Canyon in the first round.
