The Mavericks enjoyed a flurry between late March and early April as they won five times in seven games.

That good run was brought to a shuddering halt on the road though as they lost back-to-back games against the LA Clippers, 114-91 and 135-104.

Dallas then fell to the Los Angeles Lakers at home, 112-97, before rallying with a 124-102 success at home to Toronto.

The Mavericks failed to back up that victory though, as they closed out the regular season with a 132-97 defeat in Memphis.

Sacramento enter this matchup having closed out the regular season with a victory to finish 40-42.

The Kings ended March with back-to-back road defeats, and that skid reached three games with a 116-111 loss to Washington in their first April outing.

They turned around their form on their road though, as they closed out that trip with victories in Charlotte, 125-102, Cleveland, 120-113, and Detroit, 127-117.

Sacramento failed to keep that good run going when returned home however, losing 124-116 to Denver and 101-100 to the LA Clippers.

The Kings avoided a third consecutive defeat though, as they wrapped up the regular season with a 109-98 win against Phoenix.

Sacramento had Dallas’ number during the regular season and we do not expect that to change here.

Sabonis can deal with AD and the Mavericks are unlikely to have the firepower needed to keep pace with the Kings.
