Miami once again find themselves behind in the NBA Finals series after losing at home in Game 3.

The Heat are surprise finalists after upsetting Milwaukee 4-1, New York 4-2 and Boston 4-3 on their way to the NBA Finals.

They were able to make successful starts to all three of those series, but that has not been the case here.

Miami fell to a 104-93 defeat in Denver in Game 1, only to bounce back quickly with a surprise 111-108 victory in Game 2.

However, the Heat failed to build on that in their first home game of the series, suffering a 109-94 defeat to the Nuggets on Wednesday night.

Denver are back in control of the 2023 NBA Finals after winning their first road game of the series.

The Nuggets cruised to the finals as they downed Minnesota 4-1 and Phoenix 4-2, before sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.

They made a strong start to the NBA Finals series too as they ran out 104-93 winners against Miami in Game 1.

Denver appeared to be on their way to a 2-0 lead when they opened up a double-digit lead over the Heat in Game 2, but a late collapse resulted in a 111-108 defeat.

The Nuggets’ response was an emphatic one though, as they stormed to a 109-94 victory in Miami in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead.

Denver dominated in Game 3 on the back of another big performance from Nikola Jokic.

They are the better team and momentum is firmly on their side, so we expect the Nuggets to leave Miami with a 3-1 series lead.
