The Knicks have been a reliable spread bet at home in recent weeks, and despite a few losses to the Pistons this season they have good recent record against Detroit.

Detroit ended their playoff drought by putting together a 44-38 record to finish sixth in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Pistons entered the playoffs cold though, having lost six of their final eight regular season games.

They won three consecutive matchups in late March, but ended the month with a 123-104 defeats in Minnesota, and then began April with a 119-103 loss to Oklahoma City.

Detroit rallied to win 117-105 in Toronto, but they failed to follow up on that victory as they returned home to lose 109-103 to Memphis and 127-117 to Sacramento.

The Pistons then beat New York 115-106 at home, only to lose back-to-back meetings with Milwaukee, 125-119 at home and 140-133 in overtime on the road.

They now find themselves behind early in this series, having suffered a 123-112 defeat on Saturday night.

New York Knicks Form

New York secured their playoff place by compiling a 51-31 record to claim third place in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Knicks entered this series on the back of a victory, but having lost three of their previous four games.

They enjoyed a good run between late March and early April as they won five times in six games, only for their form to cool off with three straight losses.

New York lost 119-117 in overtime when they hosted Boston, and then fell to a 115-106 defeat when they visited Detroit.

That was followed by a 108-102 home loss to Cleveland, but the Knicks did end the regular season on a positive note as they downed Brooklyn 113-105.

They then followed that up with a 123-112 victory over Detroit in the opening game of this postseason series.
