Houston failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 104-98 at the Los Angeles Lakers, but responded swiftly in the form of a 143-105 blowout of Utah.

The Rockets then beat Oklahoma City 125-111 at home and Golden State 106-96, before seeing their run end with a 134-117 loss to the LA Clippers.

Los Angeles enter this matchup on a decent run of form, having now won six of their last nine games.

The Lakers began this sequence with a 120-119 victory in Indiana, only to then suffer late collapse to lose 119-117 in Chicago.

They responded to that loss with back-to-back wins, beating Memphis 134-127 on the road and Houston 104-98 at home, but they failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 123-116 to Golden State.

Los Angeles again rebounded quickly from a loss, beating New Orleans 124-108 at home and Oklahoma City 126-99 on the road, but they failed to maintain that momentum.

The Lakers lost 136-120 to the Thunder in the second half of that back-to-back, before winning 112-97 in Dallas.
