Los Angeles go into this game on the back of a victory but having tasted defeat in seven of their last 11 games.

The Lakers’ struggle began when a 111-101 defeat in Boston brought an end to an eight-game win streak.

They finished that road trip with three more losses, falling 111-108 in Brooklyn, 126-106 at Milwaukee and 131-126 in Denver, before snapping their skid at home.

Los Angeles beat Phoenix 107-96, and then followed up that victory by downing San Antonio 125-109 and Denver 120-108.

The Lakers failed to keep that run going, as they lost 118-89 to Milwaukee 146-115 to Chicago and 118-106 to Orlando, but they did rebound last night with a 120-119 victory in Indiana.

Chicago enter this matchup on a good run of form, having burst into life with eight wins in their previous 10 games.

The Bulls began this run on the road as they beat Orlando 125-123 and Miami 114-109, before returning home to down Indiana 121-103 and Brooklyn 116-110.

That run was ended by a 117-114 loss in Houston, but they responded immediately with a 111-97 victory in Utah.

Chicago failed to follow that up as they lost 127-121 in Phoenix, only to again issue a swift reaction to a defeat.

The Bulls won 128-116 in Sacramento, blew out the Los Angeles Lakers in a 146-115 victory, and then downed Denver 129-119 in the final game of their road trip.

Chicago just blew out the Lakers on the road and in recent weeks have been the league's most reliable spread bet.
