Memphis have hauled themselves back into this Western Conference semi-final but cannot afford another loss.

The Grizzlies found themselves in trouble earlier this week when they fell 3-1 behind this series with Golden State.

They split the first two game of this series, losing 117-116 at home before winning 106-101 in Game 2.

Memphis dropped the next two on the road though, following up a 142-112 blowout with a 101-98 loss that put them on the brink of elimination.

To make their task even tougher, they lost Ja Morant to an injury that could see him miss the rest of the postseason.

The Grizzlies showed their resolve in Game 5 at home though, running over Golden State in a 134-95 victory.

It was a massive team effort as no less than seven players hit double digits, with three starters breaking the 20-point barrier.

Jaren Jackson Jr put up 21 points and eight rebounds, while Tyus Jones had 21 points and nine assists.

Desmond Bane also contributed 21 points, while Steven Adams racked up 13 rebounds.

Golden State return home with a chance to put this Western Conference semi-final to bed.

The Warriors took a series lead when they won 117-116 in Memphis, but they dropped their next road game 106-101.

They took command of the series when it returned to the Chase Center though,

Golden State smashed Memphis 142-112 in Game 3 and then won 101-98 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead.

The Warriors passed up on the chance to clinch on the road though in Game 5, getting blown out 134-95.

The game was over by halftime so coach Steve Kerr opted to give limited minutes to his stars.

Klay Thompson ended the game with a team-leading 19 points, while Jonathan Kuminga put uup 17 and Stephen Curry contributed 14.
