Phoenix can double their lead in the NBA Finals with another home win.

The Suns continued their good home form with a commanding victory over Milwaukee in Game 1.

This formula has served Phoenix well all postseason and can lead them to victory in Game 2.

Milwaukee Bucks Form & Team News

Milwaukee swept Miami in round one but were made to work for their wins over Brooklyn and Atlanta.

The Bucks bounced back from losing Game 1 against both the Nets and the Hawks to record 4-2 series victories, sealing each series win on the road.

Their series win over Atlanta was particularly impressive as they won Games 5 & 6 despite losing their best player, Giannis Antetokounmpo to injury.

Giannis made a surprise return for Game 1 of the NBA Finals but his 20 points and 17 rebounds could not prevent the Bucks from losing.

Khris Middleton put up 29 points himself, but Milwaukee struggled to cope with Chris Paul defensively and that resulted in a 118-105 defeat.

Giannis is expected to feature in Game 2, but Donte DiVincenzo (foot) remains out and that hurts Milwaukee’s options off the bench.

Phoenix Suns Form & Team News

Phoenix swept Denver in round two but had a few more issues dispatching the two Los Angeles teams either side of that series.

The Suns fought back from 2-1 down to win 3 straight games and oust the defending champion Lakers in Round 1.

They then took the first 2 games of the Western Conference Finals, only to lose 2 of the next 3 to let the Clippers back into it. They wrapped it up in Game 6 though, winning in LA.

Phoenix have a healthy knack for winning Game 1s, and that trend continued in the opening matchup of the NBA Finals.

Devin Booker matched his postseason average with 27 points, and Deandre Ayton was a force inside the paint with 22 points and 19 rebounds.

The star of the show was Chris Paul though. Milwaukee found him unplayable as he poured in 32 points and dished out 9 assists.

Ayton, Booker and Paul should all be good to go here, but Dario Saric (knee) has been added to the injury report as day-to-day.

Phoenix have been outstanding at home in the postseason and Milwaukee could not live with Paul in Game 1.

If the veteran guard takes control of Game 2, and Ayton shines in the paint again, we could see the Suns take a 2-0 lead.
