The Knicks, who went 50-32 in the regular season, took six games to get past Philadelphia in the first round.

After taking a 2-0 series lead, they bounced back from a 125-114 defeat in Philadelphia with a 97-92 win, and then rebounded from a 112-106 defeat with a 118-115 victory to wrap things up.

New York got off to an ideal start in this series too as they won the first two games against Indiana, 121-117 and 130-121.

The Knicks were pegged back on the road as they lost 111-106 and 121-89, but they regained the lead at home with a 121-91 victory in Game 5.

Indiana Pacers Form

Indiana return home knowing that a defeat to New York on Friday night will bring an end to their series.

The Pacers, who went 47-35 in the regular season, progressed from the first round with a 4-2 series in over Milwaukee.

They bounced back from a series-opening loss with 125-108, 121-118 and 126-113 wins, and then rebounded from a 115-92 defeat with a series-clinching 120-98 victory at home.

Indiana failed to follow up that victory in the first two games of this series, as they were beaten 121-117 and 130-121 in New York.

The Pacers responded at home, winning 111-106 and 121-89 to knot up the series, but they once again failed to win in New York, this time losing 121-91 in Game 5.
